The founding conference of the "China-Indonesia Industry-Education Integration Community" was successfully held at the University of Jakarta

On the morning of December 18, 2024, the first "China-Indonesia Industry-Education Integration Development Forum" and the founding conference of the "China-Indonesia Industry-Education Integration Community" were held at the University of Jakarta. The "Community" was jointly initiated by the University of Jakarta, Wuxi Vocational and Technical College and the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association. It aims to further promote the deep integration of industries and skills between China and Indonesia under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative to "serve capacity cooperation, serve corporate needs, serve high-quality employment, and serve the optimization and development of vocational education."

Indonesian Minister of Labor Yassierli, Director of the Learning and Student Affairs Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Technology Sri Suning Kusumawardani, representatives of the Cultural Affairs Department of the Chinese Embassy, and more than 130 representatives from Chinese universities, Indonesian universities and Chinese companies attended.

Dr. Hu Haibin, President of the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association, Professor Wu Huiyuan, Vice President of Wuxi Vocational and Technical College, and Professor Kemarudin, President of the University of Jakarta, three representatives of the initiators delivered speeches, signed the cooperation documents of the "China-Indonesia Industry-Education Integration Community" and held a launching ceremony. Finally, Professor Yassierli, Minister of Labor of Indonesia, took the stage to deliver a speech, highly praised the establishment of the "China-Indonesia Industry-Education Integration Community", and accepted an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency.

Hu Haibin told the Minister of Labor in detail that the "Community" will introduce 100 Chinese higher vocational colleges to cooperate with 100 Indonesian universities, and carry out targeted professional cooperation according to the employment needs of Chinese enterprises, and introduce China's vocational skills training and appraisal standards. Hu Haibin also proposed to the minister to develop vocational skills appraisal standards and certificates with dual certification of the "Community" and the "Ministry of Labor" to meet the vocational skills requirements of Chinese companies for talents, and the two sides will conduct joint certification. The minister readily accepted the proposal and discussed and proposed a 2-3 year plan.

This conference was a complete success and was highly recognized by the Minister of the Indonesian Ministry of Labor. It is expected that it will play an important role in the work of the Indonesian Ministry of Labor to improve the quality of the population in the future.
