The China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association and Jakarta National University signed a cooperation agreement to jointly offer MBA/DBA programs for Chinese-funded enterprises.

On the afternoon of April 2nd, the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association and the National University of Jakarta held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) for the "Chinese Enterprises Class" project. Dr. Hu Haibin, President of the Association, Dr. Andy Hadiyanto, M.A., Vice President of the National University of Jakarta, and Dr. Susilo, Director of the International Department, attended the signing ceremony.

Previously, the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association signed an exclusive MoU with the National University of Jakarta in 2022. Over the years, the Association has sent hundreds of university teachers to the National University of Jakarta to pursue master's and doctoral degrees, dozens of whom have successfully graduated and received certification from the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education.

Currently, there are over 1,000 large and medium-sized Chinese enterprises operating in Indonesia, with over 100,000 Chinese employees working there long-term. As Chinese enterprises continue to expand their business in Indonesia, more and more Chinese employees hope to improve their academic qualifications and professional skills through systematic learning, and gain access to connections from prestigious universities. However, Indonesian public universities had not previously offered master's and doctoral programs specifically for this group. Recognizing this need, the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association actively connected with top Indonesian public universities to promote the establishment of special programs for Chinese-funded enterprises seeking to upgrade their academic qualifications. This cooperation with the National University of Jakarta marks another significant breakthrough for the association in deepening cultural and educational exchanges between China and Indonesia.

After more than a year of in-depth negotiations, both parties reached a series of consensuses on core matters such as the enrollment timeline, admission requirements, language requirements, language of instruction, teaching methods, student management, and graduation requirements for the MBA and DBA programs. A formal project cooperation agreement (MoA) was signed on the afternoon of April 2nd. The National University of Jakarta has officially and exclusively authorized the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association to initiate the recruitment process for managers from Chinese-funded enterprises.

This cooperation is not only another important achievement of the China-Indonesia Cultural and Educational Exchange Association in promoting practical educational cooperation between the two countries, but it will also open up new pathways for talent cultivation in Chinese-funded enterprises in Indonesia, further contributing to the deepening and solidification of China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges.
